iQ Pest Control will arrange the setup of the necessary and correct working at height equipment. Once installed the first task is to scare all the pigeons that are roosting and nesting under the panels away, there is likely to be active and dormant nests. All nesting material will be removed and disposed of by us.
Solar panels generate a lot of heat so the pigeon droppings or guano has often becomes baked onto solar panels, framework and wiring. Our next step is to apply a biocidal cleaning agent under the panels, this will break down any of the baked on pigeon guano which will be washed away by our operative. The biocidal cleaner also controls bird mites that may have been in the nest, this will prevent you from having any issues with bird mites from entering your property when there are no birds left to feed on.
After the clearing of the nesting material and cleaning has been done, we will install solar panel pigeon spikes. The spikes iQ Pest Control fit have been specifically designed to proof solar panels and are not in any way attached to the panels. Any alterations, anything fitted or attached to your solar panels will invalidate the warranty, beware of any company that suggests they will attach metal mesh to the panels as this will prove very costly if your solar panels develop a fault and the company can get out of repairing them under your warranty.
